If you would like to donate more than $25.00 per month we appreciate your generosity. However, our needs are modest. We suggest that you pledge a monthly donation of the additional amount to the Spirit of Mandela Coalition or Jericho Movement, or else adopt a political prisoner and contribute to that prisoner's commissary account or defense campaign.      
     
Steve Bloom Poetry is dedicated to the idea that art should not be a commercial enterprise. We make everything on this website and on Steve's YouTube channel freely available. We do understand that not everyone is in a position to follow our example. Some artists need to make a living from their work and we don't suggest that anyone be judged negatively because of that. We are, however,  grateful that we are in a position to freely model a different kind of artistic endeavor.
     
Still, it would  encourage the expansion of the artistic endeavor we are modeling if we demonstrate that it can attract an audience which is willing to help support artists on a voluntary basis. And we do incur expenses for maintaining this website along with the "Poetry of Protest and Struggle" series. We are also beginning a campaign to purchase ads on various social media patforms in an effort to expand our reach. This includes the need for us to hire a consultant who is expert in this area. So if you agree that it would be a good thing for more people to discover the poetry of Steve Bloom, along with the "Poetry of Protest and Struggle" videos, it's all the more reason to consider making a donation which will help finance that effort. Any amount is welcome.
